66704 Colchester Power Box passes through Poole with the 6G66 Eastleigh Yard - Furzebrook Oil sidings Autoballasting train on October 10th 2007. Also the return leg on the 11th of October from Baiter park. Yeah I was on the skate park ramps!!! (good job it was empty). Network Rail provided the staff, GBRf the loco & crew (never!!) and Swanage Railway paid for the ballasting. The possesion was between Motala (Swanage Railway Network Rail Boundary) and Swnage Railway Bufferstops. Swanage Railways Class 33 was helping out at the other end of the train.

The ensemble returned the next day to Eastleigh and is seen from the skater park at Baiter.

Overall I was very disapointed with this video as it was not shot how I wanted to. Platform 2 instead of 1 as I would get ambushed by the 444 coming out of the sidings. Also my usual place at Baiter was overgrown. Oh well.
Enjoy

  • Yeah I use a Sony Digital8 Camera and transfer it to the PC digitally also. Capture as full frame AVI then compress it to WMA then upload it to You Tube who compress it again. The day ones are very clear but some of the night ones are not as cler but hey thats night time for you its supposed to be dark isnt it?

  • wow so clear.
