I remember my 2 and 3 year old use to be scared crapless with Robosapian ... you have a brave kid there! (mine are now 5 and 4)

P.S. Your child playing with the NXT in the video seems extremly bright. What age bracket is the NXT kit aimed at?

is the nxt brick and the motors the same as the v1, i know the software is upgraded and lego has added some different parts but are there any major hardware changes?

Yeah the brick and the motors are same. Brick has a more up to date firmware.
