This should be required watching for every single Christian preacher in Western Civilization. As a Christian preacher, I think the reflection that viewing of just the first five minutes of this flick could actually result in a shift of humanity's condition and perhaps the start of recovery from its decay. Then again, we all want them $299 plasma TV's for the parsonage. Deliver us, O Lord from this tainted orb! .. Just sayin ..

I am utterly taken aback that anyone in the West would ever figure out that consumerism is a perverted lifestyle and psychology, let alone be as creative as to "preach" this and figure out the brilliant formula:
Shopping morbid addiction+Apocalypse = SHOPOCALYPSE.
I can't believe people are starting to question our own lifestyle of consumerism and economical slavery; This is biblical!
Rev.Billy is no mad man, he's as a genius...and he's out of the bottle.

Have any of this guy's antics had any influence on anything whatsoever? He's entertaining, sure -- but I seriously doubt his ability to enact change. Seems more like he's preaching to the choir.

I think it's pretty obvious that the guy is approaching this by taking on this reverend-type character and that he uses theatrics and comedy to get his point across. It's an act, yes, but in the service of something he takes seriously. I, for one, think it's great.
