Cultural Pride vs. Racism

What is the different between cultural pride, vs. racism?
Is it racist to be proud of your heritage, your race, your culture?
I think there are some people who would think it is.
I think cultural pride and racism are two very different things.

@ObadiyahBlack Affirmative action is a big divider in our culture. I dont care who benefits it violates the 14th Amendment, and with a black president and so many influential minorities, there is no reason for it.

White celtic people were enslaved in this country too. Reparations are only a cop out. I don't want them for my culture, and I don't want them for any other culture. All I want is for freedom and justice, and that can be found in our constitution.

I completely agree with you! Affirmative action is counterproductive to society. Do you want the doctor who is working on your child to be the best qualified, or the doctor that helped meet a color quota? I am (mostly) Hawaiian, and i want my job because i earned it, not because a more qualified person just wasnt the necessary colour for my company.

I love the Hawaiian Culture. My two close friends from high school were Hawaiian, I dated one of them. It was a good thing.

If U R against racism, then U must B against allowing race to be taken into consideration in school admissions, housing, medical help and wellfare. If U R against racism; U must forbid ANY mention of race in public services, no matter WHO benefits from the racist policy.

@utahpirateradio The Constitution was written in 1787, blacks were still in Slavery, and considered 3/5ths of a man, and so therefore when you speak of the constitution, the original Authors of this document, did not consider Blacks or Africans to be apart of "We the People" or People at all. Because of the Racist fabrics that make up the U.S. blacks are still suffering today, "Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome" look it up... For every Cause there is an Effect, Someone has to pay for the evil done.
