Iowa Representative Steve King (Republican) said on G. Gordon Liddy's show "The president has demonstrated that he has a default mechanism in him that breaks down the side of race - on the side that favors the black person."
After a brief discussion with G. Gordon Liddy about Arizona's controversial new immigration law, King also added (without observing any of the latent irony) "When you look at this administration, I'm offended by Eric Holder and the president also, their posture," King said. "It looks like Eric Holder said that white people in America are cowards when it comes to race, and I don't know what the basis of that is, but I'm not a coward when it comes to that. And I'm happy to talk about these things, and I think we should."
This is a bit of a mis-characterization of Holder's original quote. Holder said "In things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards". This doesn't throw any one group of people under the bus, rather, it condemns America's unwillingness to talk about race in a constructive manner.
However, who could be surprised by the same Steve King who spouted this pearl in reference to the election of Barack Obama as President back in 2008? "The radical Islamists, the al Qaeda ... would be dancing in the streets
in greater numbers than they did on Sept. 11 because they would declare victory in this war on terror"

Well, it's about time somebody favored black people. It's amazing that the public hadn't noticed that the previous 43 favored white people. Was there nothing wrong with that? Nobody said, "hey, W makes laws that favor rich white people" with any kind of pejorative tone. It was not even questioned.

When will you people learn. Obama is just like Bush black or white is irrelevant. It's about the rich elite getting richer at the expense of the rest of us. They like us to fight amongst ourselves, we are easier to control that way. Let's put the blame for our nation's problems where they deserve to be put. On the gangster capitalists who are destroying our country and making us all poorer. We need real.

ALL: I'm almost speechless at even a suggestion that Obama favors blacks over whites. This is nuts. Obama has way more whites in his administration than from any other ethnic group.
