June 27, 1979 performance of an Allman Brothers cover from Molly Hatchet's self-titled debut album. Sounds very different than Allman's blues version.

Featured Performers:

Danny Joe Brown: Vocals
Bruce Crump: Drums
Dave Hlubek: Guitar
Steve Holland: Guitar
Duane Roland: Guitar
Banner Thomas: Bass

  • Yeah man this is the real molly hatchet!!!!!! bobby Ingram's fake molly hatchet doesn't touch this at all..give a thumbs up if you think this beats bobby ingrams fake molly hatchet of today and you think its not right that bobby ingram owns the molly hatchet name and he's not an original band member shame on bobby. Dave hlubeck should own the name not bobby Ingram...

  • @Southernborn761 R.I.P Danny Joe Brown & Duane Roland*

  • Well I guess. Everyone has already said what i would have said. If i was doing the history. Yeah Dave is back playing in the band he started. Way back in Jacksonville Florida. I can only think. That someone has been reading these post's & The people that bought the albums,T-Shirt's and Concert Ticket's are not even a little bit happy at what we were seeing. It's pretty clear to me. I have read there responce's as well. From this band&The other"Tribute"Band.

R.I.P Danny Joe Brown & Duane roland

  • @Hornadayfan actually Dave Hlubek is the guitar player on the far left...he's in the current line up as well as John Galvin who is the Keyboardist, tho they don't have keyboards in this particular video. Bobby Ingram replaced Dave Hlubek when he left the band originally and has been in the band ever since..over 25 yrs..Phil McCormack has been the singer, hand picked by Danny Joe, since I believe 96, Tim Lindsay, the bassist has been with the current line up over 7 yrs, Drummer is on 12 yrs...

  • Man, this is a great video....Dave you were a hottie in the day! :D

  • Atlanta 1982? Hatchet and Blackfoot. Fin kicked ass

  • @alienlawenforcer Get back to me about this reunion if you can. I think I have something that might interest the band. Thanks.

  • Very cool old video. I was a keyboard player in a cover band in the early 80's and I had the pleasure of meeting Banner Thomas while playing in Jacksonville Fla.He Gratiously got on stage and jammed with our band. What a great guy. What a great band ..R.I.P. Danny Joe.

  • Like "Skynyrd" without the real members it's just not what we want. There is NO Skynyrd without Ron and the fellas and there certainly isn't a Molly Hatchet without the booming voice of Danny Joe Brown...RIP Bro's be seeing ya soon

  • Holland-Roland-Hlubek is the only way to go. And Dan the man!

  • I liveed next door to Steve Holland when he lived in Virginia Beach and went to high school. He used to sell drugs and make surfboards in his parents garage before he got the opportunity to join Molly Hatchet. I could tell you some stories about him. He's a great guy!
