all their albums are awesome, including Call of the Mastodon, but that the first steps of their evolution, on the next albums they just progressed and grew musically more and more, and for me Crack the Skye album reached exactly what Mastodon wanted to, perfection, Crack the Skye is finally what Mastodon wanted to do, atleast thats what they say, that its the album they always wanted to make, and for me its also the best ive ever heard

Who cares whether or not it's a studio album or not?

That record shows Mastodon at their earliest stage which I think is really cool.

But I totally agree with Crack The Skye being one of the best albums released in this century. Fucking epic.

Crack the Skye isnt meant to be brutal, but its their best album and probably the ebst album ever in music history, in my opinion

Mastodon are the best band of the decade and definitly one of the ebst of this century, because they get better with each new studio album, i dont count Call of the Mastodon because the sogns were made even before Remission, so if i place it anywhere its there

They just got better and better and they reached perfection with Crack the Skye

There voices are getting so much better live! I mean, those vocals melodies on Crack The Skye would kill your chords too if you had to belt them out each night. Mastodon. Fucking amazing.
