I'm on the border by Mexico. I LOVE this tune---we Christians must unite and proudly celebrate our Savior's birth and the fun Santa brings to our kids! Merry Christmas & Ho Ho Ho!

If you told me "Merry Christmas" before I could say "Happy Holidays" I would reply with "Thank you, and a Merry Yule Tidings to you" because just saying "Thank you" would be ignoring the fact that I, a growing number of others, do not celebrate Christmas; and would be denying my faith and oppressing its existence in the world. I don't think you would opening accept my wishes of a Happy Yule for you.

@Pir8forever I'll see your "Happy Yule" and raise you an early "Happy Imbolc!" But for the record, St. Patrick's Day is in fact a religious holiday. (Check it out)

To me, those who say Merry Christmas have two options; they can either accept the fact that their are other religions who have their own holi(y)days and wish them a general good season by saying Happy Holidays, or be prepared to hear Merry Yule/Saturnalia/Hannukah/Kwanzza(etc.) in return. It's simply disrespectful to exclude others by saying Merry Christmas.

@Pir8forever By that same logic it would be disrespectful to wish someone "Happy St. Patrick's Day" because they might not be Irish. Or "Happy 4th of July" because they might not be a citizen. Yet, I haven't heard an ounce of complaint about either. I would suggest if someone wishes you "happy" or "merry" ANYTHING...smile say "thank you, same to you" and keep it moving. Happy Festivus!!!
