Abondoned before it began, I wonder who ended up eating that cost? Oh yeah, the bank customers and all the new bank fees they came up with. Great shots of what happened to a failed project that is still standing. It was a good idea not to get too close to the dangerous parts, thanks for posting. First main streets died, then the malls that put them out of business, kind of came full circle. Now how will on-line shopping die? In the 1970s malls looked like they were here forever.

@bigdanbear That looks a bit boring. It was never finished so just concrete, not kitted out with stuff to smash up. We prefer places that were finished where there is plenty of old stuff that can busted up!

If only this place had Obama's Stimulus Plan! Too bad we can't send him over to that part of the world so he could work his magic. He's done more than enough to the U.S. economy already!!!

Must be Detroit as the city now remains in ruins

@seanvogt221 That is a grave reminder of the price we pay for the convenience of online shopping: retail jobs.

The language tells me that this is in Poland, where I live. The country is littered with unfinished projects, many from the 90's when people started building in great optimism in the early post communist years, but the money ran out before they could finish. Near where I live, there is a flyover for a motorway that was never built so it begins and ends 50ft off the ground
