Even as the interim independent electoral commission prepares for the forthcoming Kerugoya by election, another constituency in the capital city is bracing itself for a decision on a long standing petition. In just three days time, the high court will decide on the fate of Kamukunji Member of Parliament Simon Mbugua. Will he retain his seat in the event of a by-election, or will he follow the route of several of his former parliamentary colleagues who lost their seats in successful election petitions? As Andrew Ochieng reports, focus now shifts to the high court where judge Mary Ang'awa is this week set to rule on the three year old Kamukunji election petition filed by ODM's Ibrahim Ahmed.

  • What kinda BS is that, ati withdrawing because of threatening SMS messages from unknown persons? You gotta be kidding me. You are a judge. If you can be intimidated then who the hell in Kenya is safe. This is nonsense. We need justice. I hope they vet those judges out of the judiciary ASAP. That is an injustice to us Kenyans.
