So true horses are not raised for food. So you must worm your horses every 3 to six months with different wormers. If you don't they can get many different kinds of worms including Bots which people can get. So horses have many chemicals in them and maybe this is one reason cancer exists. These chemicals are dangerous. Cattle are raised to be eaten still not good but not like horse meat some day we will see what happens to our children's health. I love this video

Hope they don,t have this dog-food, in Canada, now!? I,m against slaughtering EQUINES, for food, and the inhumain procedures, like at Richilieu Meats, Qc and Alberta. These multy-million industries are just greed and gouverments, support all this. We Canadiens, pay TAXES for these hell-holes and its not right, and I do not consume this meat, neither does my pet Dog! Horses are tortured in these camps and are suffering, right to their last breath, for BOUVRY inc. SHAME on him. tks

@WormsEatingYourEyes Absolutely. While we use it for its antitussive properties, it is used in horses for anti-cribbing. See, e.g., "The effect of the NMDA receptor blocker, dextromethorphan, on cribbing in horses", Pharmacol Biochem Behav. 2001 Jan;68(1):49-51.
