  • i jus got a 1985 kx 80. it started ran for a few bogged out and died. so i took carb off the float was bent, i fixed that. now when i go to start it , it gets no gas at all. any ideas?? i think needle valve?

  • @mojaverider97 youve dun the right thing but sounds like you have adjusted it too much and cut off the gas flow, you need to bend it back out a littel , best wasy to test take the bowel off and push the float up and down while u blow threw the fule inlet get a good feel for it and make sure it turns fully off when float is at top.. dont worie about the needel valve it dusnt need replaceing unless it has any slight damage.. very tempremental these are dont touch unless nesacery, let me kno dude!

  • thats fast as fuck

  • @UltimateCrossers thanks dude... keept it runin mint custom tuned in everyway

  • @mojaverider97 and make sure the cylender that the float needle goes into is clean, or it will stick. the ethanol in the gas these days gums the carb all up and eats brass..

  • @mojaverider97 mr47uko8 is right. in the shop manual there should a diagram on how to do this, but basically hold the carb upside down (so the float is at the top) and bend the tab on the float so that when the little button on top of the float needle is compressed, the float is level with the sealing suface at the top of the bowl.

  • nice riding, that 80 is quick

  • @mr47uk08 haha trueee but yeh mine has six :S

  • alright thanks. i was messing with it all day today and i changed the spark plug and it fired right up. now it runs like a bat out of hell

  • @XmaltezX gud 1 dude glad you sorted im still not sure about the gears tho im pritty sure it would be 5 speed if they fitted 6 speed box's to the 80's then who would need to buy a 125?.. in my opinion thats all they needed 1 extra gear and even i wouldnt bother with a 125 / 250 lol

  • Nice Helmet, Where Can I Get One Of Those??

  • nada ver
