Seems like there is more recent research available (since 2010) on what is actually happening at Tr.points; at least that's what I heard at a recent congress

You are so right. Davies' book saved my life.

Clearly you've never used one. It will loosen a trigger point, so your claim it wont is wrong.
Aschemic compression can loosen a trigger point, however that is not the only way. The hammering effect from this machine will do the same. Just because you dont understand it doesnt mean it doesnt work.
You remind me of an old treefeller with his big sawtooth blade seeing his first power saw..."ohh err, that'll never work..." ha ha

Thanks for highlighting a condition that SO many people (including Drs) ignore and overlook. Perhaps the drug companies don't like conditions that can be treated without the use of drugs.

EXCELENT VIDEO!
I have a quick question.
Would the Jeanie rub massager be a very good massager to use?
I've always wondered that.

thank you for this post!
Those two books by Travell and Simons really ARE supposed to be the "Bible of trigger points."
For those with no background in medicine or anatomy who wish to learn trigger points for home use, "The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook" by Clair Davies is GREAT!. Check amazon for reviews and pricing.
Thanks for posting this video.
