Quirky vintage blues tune originally recorded by St. Louis bluesman Charlie Jordan. Crazy lyrics! The guitar is a vintage Gibson L-00 from the late 1930's.

  • As to your question about damping...yes, I am damping with my right palm and also by letting up slightly with my fretting hand to kill the notes. To me, the most important part of uke playing is a lot of damping. Email me thru my website and I can send you a crude tab that may help you with this tune.

  • Absolutely outstanding !!!! the best vidoe ive found in years, could do with a slowed down version with a finger action close up, i cant read tab but good at reading fingers

  • James -- Thanks for sharing your version it is quite clean. I wanted to hear it some more since I am transcribing for a baritone ukulele. I have to get a bit tricky (simplify) with the bass notes. Are you palm muting some of those base notes? Jeff / Humble Uker / Humble Baritonics
