  • These two are incomparable talents. Too bad Karla doesn't release more albums; she's amazing.

  • Not sure why blogger get a thumbs down for saying they love Wynona's version of this song. Wynonna nails this song, it's beautiful. I love Karla and Linda, two great female rockers. I also wish LR would return to her roots.

  • No kidding, Mickey714061! I was a junior in high school in Salt Lake City listening to the Stone Pony--What a great era!

  • @goodwineguy YEA! That's no kidding= = my thoughts exactly!! lol lol Like using your Rolls- Royce to haul the trash to the dump! ......

  • @MICKEY714061 I was in 5th grade and I had just heard of The Stone Ponys!

  • @goodwineguy did you ever check out karla's music. her first 2 albums -- karla bonoff and restless nights -- are her best, i believe.

  • There is NO female voice that even compares to Karla!

  • Karla is one of the finest songwriters of this generation. And a voice to match. Want a treat?. Also search out her quartet with Andrew Gold [ RIP] Kenny Edwards, [ also RIP] and Wendy Waldman called Bryndle . . Simply some of the most beautiful music ever recorded. .

  • @avilleguy I totally agree with you! Sincerely, BobbyK

  • Wynona's version is good, but it's a carbon copy of Karla's arrangement. They even had Karla come in a play the guitar intro on Wynona's session. Wynona's version does have more balls to it mainly because of Wynona's ballsy voice. Great song.

  • @rpscot Where were you in 1967? Linda Ronstadt was on the radio with the Stone Ponies and a hit song, (Different Drum). Bonnie Raitt was at Radcliffe in Cambridge, Phoebe Snow was 15 years old and in high school, James Taylor was in London. The opinions on the music are subjective, the facts... not so much.

  • @MICKEY714061 Interesting, I stand corrected! I'll retain my crush on Linda however, while I find a Bonoff CD to check out. What's a good CD to get to know her voice and music? Anyone?
