1 Hour is nothing. My drama teacher knew his wife, who was Australian, for 10 YEARS, LIVING IN AMERICA, while she was on the OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD, and they are married with two kids now. Who the fuck says it doesn't work? And really every relationship has to be like that at one point or another; you have to trust the person when they're away if you're really in it for more than just pussy or cock. I want to believe you guys but what about if one of you lives in Montreal and the other one in Hawaii?! Does actual distance make a difference? In about one year, we will be together again but in the meantime, will the relationship die? I hope it doesn't and we've already gone 6 months apart. I'm afraid I might get cheated on. I have no proof though... but there's no proof that I haven't been cheated on already either!

If you're going to be back together again soon then it's a temporary situation.
The important thing to talk, talk, talk openly and honestly - even about the hard stuff. That in my opinion is the best way to build trust in your relationship.
