I was introducing my new gerbil Clover (schimmel spotted) to Nova (argente fawn) and Rose (burmese). I put them on the floor with a play pen around them. None of their scent was on anything so they wouldnt fight. None of them were hurt and I made sure no fights went on. She is squeaking most likely out of fear, but they all nest together and groom each other now.

To introduce your gerbil you can do the same as I did or do the split cage/tank technique.

  • I have always loved the sound of gerbil squeaking. :) It's so cute. I've kept gerbils now for about 14 years and currently have two named Poppy and Willow.
