In Plymouth Public Library on Feb 3rd 2010; part of the launch event for the Baring-Gould Folk Song Archive going on-line (see www.devontradition.org). Wren have worked with Heritage Lottery Funding to digitise the papers and documents from the work of the Rev Sabine Baring-Gould who collected the folk songs of Devon and Cornwall during the 1890s. This version of "Time to Remember the Poor" is from the archive - Martin is the international expert on the works of Baring-Gould and he and Shan give a charming rendition of what can still be read as a commentary on our times - I know of no-one else who has performed this version of the song (Roud No. 1121), but better access to the archive will, I trust, see it revived and sung with pleasure.
