This is the best version I ever heard... Fantastic. The picking is great, but when the sing comes, then that's incredible. All my friends are fans now ! :)

This is just awesome.
I wish I could hand you my '39 Gibson L4. I'd never need to play it ever again if I heard you play this tune on it. (And btw you have a nice sounding guitar here, but you could play anything and it would sound good).

Are you sure Leroy Carr wrote it? I know that's what they usually say but I've heard versions by Papa Charlie Jackson and Blind Lemon Jefferson which seem to predate Leroy Carr's version.

@ZAGGLETON You make good points...but it seems the precise dates are murky...History says that Leroy wrote it in 1928, Blind Lemon recorded it in 1928 as well, one year before his death...but at what exact date that year? not so sure...As for Papa Charlie Jackson, it is indeed said that he recorded it in 1925...three years prior to the date credited to Leroy Carr...but with no definite proof...oh well...the murky legend of the Blues lives on! :-)
