anyway, here is the quote from ibn kathir that you refered to: "There is a third type of divorce, which is NEITHER a Sunnah NOR AN INNOVATION where one divorces a young wife who has not begun to have menses." Innovation (bid'ah) is considered a sin in islam. With this in mind, Kathir is basically saying that divorcing prepubecent girls is neither supported by Sunnah nor condemned by it...
