  • yeah, Newt. you go into a poor, black neighborhood and tell them you are going to create jobs for them by cutting taxes for corporations and rich people like President Reagan did. i'd like to see that. so out of touch he can't find his dick.

  • To say that it takes "courage" to go to black neighborhoods and talk to people, the aquatic salamander is suggesting that blacks are dangerous, and that alone is racist.

  • @F1reF0rEffect Look up Clintons...Community Reinvestment Act...and a guy named Franklin Raines. That was the beginning of the end for FHLMC and FNMA.

Oh, and Franklin go a multi million dollar job there by Clinton to run it. Others like Jamie Goerlick got $145-20 mlyn pay days.

  • @leviathan1173 That is what you read into what he said??

    That's just racist thinking.

He is saying that since government has failed these folks miserably that it will take "courage" to go in and face them (because they have been lied to, promised things will get better and they haven't in decades.) not because it is a dangerous neighborhood.

He is talking about "we" the government.

    Not him.

Come on...don't see racism around every corner.

  • To say "good luck getting the black vote by cutting welfare" is also pretty damn insulting there, Mr. reporter... rofl.

  • @Ibiku456 I never said one word about the bailout being a good thing. I also never said we shouldn't close corp tax loop holes - I said the opposite. So what businesses are you referring to that caused the economic collapse that were not banks or lenders?

  • @Ibiku456 "Two of my teachers were laid off because of budget cuts, ... anymore" - no they arn't lazy, but if they/you think they deserve a job simply b/c they exist then I'd disagree with them/you. All you deserve is your freedom and liberty to make your own way. I care deeply about our country, I simply disagree that the country owes us/you anything other than your freedom.

  • @Ibiku456 Just b/c you live in a free country doesn't mean you will be happy. Gov't wasn't created to "make you happy" - it was created to protect your liberties and to ensure gov't power was limited to only that.

  • @F1reF0rEffect The republican ideology that they are feeding you is that people are angels and if everyone is responsible for themselves than everyone will prosper and everyone will be happy. Why do you think the government was created? Government is created to introduce laws and regulations to help all American citizens. The reason we need government is because people can't always be held accountable for themselves, rich or poor, and we need policy to shift them to the right direction.

  • @F1reF0rEffect Please, read a book or read a newspaper before you comment.

  • @Ibiku456 "So you don't want to play a part in creating a better America" - 1. I'm responsible for myself and pay my taxes, 2, I have served in the military for 11 years now, 3, I'm not an enabler, nor do I make excuses, 4 I do the right thing which is not necessarily in my (or families) best interest as a middle class citizen. The republican solution is to be responsible for ones self and to protect individual liberties. They don't believe in labor camps any more than more taxes on the rich.

  • @F1reF0rEffect You're such an idiot. Handouts are free money. What were the bail outs? What's corporate welfare? By giving rich loopholes they can abuse and lower taxes because they are rich they are basically indirectly taking gov't money. The argument works both ways. And that statistic I told you about deregulating businesses came from Time magazine. It is partially Fanny and Freddy, but the difference is Fanny and Freddy are out on the street, while the rich are asking for more breaks.
