@bfproductionbouvette How are you? My friend Larry owns a Contemporary and loves it. He said it was half the price of the German made, but it does have a solid block inside right in the center where the original doesn't. I myself am buying the German made original. The Contemporary is around $900. The German original is around $1850. I just bought the Paul McCartney discontinued Rickenbacker 4001c64s, and it was $2450. You do the math. RIcs are way more expensive!!!!

I would like to know how you personnaly find the hofner contemporary. What do you think of its sound look. Thanks. I am a 16 years old beatles fan. I dont know if I should buy the contemporary model, a german made model or save a lot and buy a rickenbacker bass. What should I do ?

I have a Rogue copy,I can't afford a Hofner right now.But where can I get a set of Hofner tuning keys to put on my Rogue?I like the Hofner ones better than the chrome tuning keys that comes on the Rogue.Can you give me some info as to where I could find a set?

I was wondering how to remove the pickguard off the contemporary because there is this little rod attached to the bridge and what do you do with the screw on the underside do you just put it back after you take the pick guard off...

is the vintage style case nicer then the flight case? or are they both great becausei like the look of the vintage style bu the flight cas one looks solid as hell!

@ONdorch I've heard that the "flight" cases are pretty heavy. The case in the video (the 63 RI) isn't a flight case.....it's a standard aluminum case....so it's not heavy at all. We've added a few more hofners to the collection...another 61' Cavern RI and an original 1966 Hofner....it's super nice
