The Merczateers is a Second Life military group fighting on land, sea and air. The Merczateers strongly disapprove griefing and any other type of misbehavior that many usually tie to military activity in Second Life.

Broadly speaking, the Merczateers undertake activities that may be classified as military role-playing; it interacts with other groups of its kind, adversaries or allies. Merczateers soldiers participate in battles, train and live at Badnarik, the Merczateers Headquarters.

The group's ambitious engineering team creates all the content we need and more, be it armor, weapons, and any other items used for combat or daily activities, such as training.

The Merczateers have had a rough and long history, a course that has taken it from the sim of Clear, passing through Isere, Adscita, Gangwon and Hjalmer. In all of these sims the group has had different interesting and challenging experiences that has defined and assisted it in reaching it's current level of proficiency.

The Merczateer's current sim is Badnarik. It represents the highest, greatest and most powerful time of all the group's existence. Since moving into Badnarik, the Merczateers have established a solid air force, exceeding the air power of any other army. The organizational system has been refined and training has been improved. The active member count also has risen to phenomenal levels, and new weapons, gear and vehicles roll out of the factories and labs on a daily basis.

On this day, we consider ourselves the premier military faction in Second Life. Although we've had many hardships, the group has stood tall during each and every one of them. It's up to every single Merczateer to keep this group strong, and make it rise above the rest.
