caccini wrote what se sings. people changed it to du bitar non ti vale because what it is in itlian.

@UncleTito72 "prendi questo mio strale" were the original lyrics, but they were changed, because they were considered too explicit. It speaks of literally carving open one's chest with an arrow to see what is written on their heart. I use both when I perform this, using the "prendi questo" on the repeat. :)

@liatma1 Oh, I see! Thank you. :) I've been looking up versions of this song because I'm singing the medium-low voice version for my class. This is by far the best recording . . . she's absolutely stunning.
