"An error occurred, please try again later."

Over the past few days, I've been getting the above statement on a black screen instead of videos here on youtube. I've done extensive checking around and have tried updating my drivers (still doesn't work), downloading the latest version of Flash Player (still doesn't work), dumped cookies, cache and internet files (still doesn't work), reconfigured my IP to a different one (still doesn't work), performed my registry cleaner on the beast (still doesn't work).

This is the oddest phenomenon. For example, I can watch the video in this clip WITHOUT the HQ enabled, yet as soon as I enable the HQ feature, I get the "An error occurred, please try again later." (I show this in my video here.) I have checked the YouTube help center, but that was 45 minutes of wasted time that I will never see again.

Some people say it is youtube and some people say its the owners computer. I strongly believe that it is a problem with youtube because if it was my computer, how would youtube know there was even an error? Know what I mean?

Furthermore, I can watch other videos of mine which were rendered in the same fashion AND in High Quality, but for some bizarre reason, youtube seems to be blocking every other video from being viewed with their "An error occurred, please try again later."

If you are reading this testament and ARE from youtube, why have you not answered the hundreds of members complaints about this very issue.

If you are a tech or have a solution to this oddity, make your mark and extend a hand... it will be greatly appreciated by many a member.

Thank you.

  • You may have accidentally use Ad Block Plus to block a youtube image. I have ABP as a Firefox Add-On. Go to Manage Add Ons/Extensions/ click on options for ABP. Click on Filter Preferences, Click on Custom filters, click on Add Blocking Rules, on the right screen scroll down until you find something that says ||youtube.com^ and uncheck the box that enables it. Now hit close and see if Youtube runs again when you refresh the page

  • Youtube is made by retards ok. Now every two comments I post I have to type in a code to prove I'm human. What retard does that?

  • WOW! IT WORKED!
