Here's an excellent condition 2000-2003 Hartke 5 String Bass for you to check out...completely stock and it plays and sounds great. It's set-up & ready to go with a fresh set of Rotosound Roundwounds (45/65/80/105) and an Ernie Ball Low B (130) string! I'll be putting it up on eBay in a no games, no hidden reserve auction with a heavy-duty Lakeland (made by Levy's) gig-bag. Also...Guitars Wanted as I'm always looking for more guitars...I buy/sell/trade 'em. I'm plugged into a Fender BXR One Hundred amp...no effects and minimal EQ-ing... Any questions, just ask...

Here is a link to my current eBay auctions if you are interested...

If you like what you hear, or are interested in any of my current or future used guitar offerings, subscribe...you'll get a heads up on any guitar that I'll be listing for sale on eBay as I post a video here first.

Thanks for watching!

  • a 9?!! not going to lie.. this bass sounded really dull and boring!

  • @RageicaNiels You misunderstood...this video went with an eBay listing...the 9 was the condition (as in very clean...hardly any handling marks), not how I thought it rated against other basses...

  • Its a WK-5 streed rod. I have one myself.

Got it in2001. Good bass indeed. Needed a lot of adjustment do. Love its sound. It needs a Passive/Active switch.Than the bass is near perfection.

    Greetings from Holland.

  • It was a really nice bass. They didn't get any respect because of the name...it wasn't like it needed to be named Hartke as it was financed by Sam Ash...they should have used another name and they would still probably be making them. They were awesome for the money. And I wish just about all Active basses had a bypass to Passive...depending on your mood or needs or even if your battery dies or gets weak...that would be nice. Thanks for watching!

  • does the bass sound that "twanggy" or is it because u dint cut ur fingernails lol. but cool vid anyway.

  • Thanks! It probably sounds twangy because I like that sound and set the amp and bass controls like that and I also play close to the bridge area vs. the neck area...and I also don't cut my nails short on my right hand since I am a guitar player and do a lot of finger style playing.

  • @RageicaNiels Really great sounding bass. 9.5 Not dull not boring.

  • i like the way guys taste

  • Sweet bass! My music teacher gave me one of these, not too bad. It's a Hartke with blacke tuners and hardware, with a maroon finish on it. The one thibg I have trouble with is how loud the bridge pickup is. I usually have both pickups on (their like jazz bass pickups, with covers like yours,) but besides that, I like it, what with body shape and what not. I like to pretend it's a Rickenbacker 4003 , though. : )

  • Sort of...technically they belong to "greengtrs" the business and not me personally...but I get to play them while I have them. The back line these days is even nicer...check out some of the more recent videos. Thanks for watching!
