Peavey 6505 combo w/ tube screamer, Mesa black shadow C90's, and blackouts

My 6505 with Mesa black shadow C90 speakers. My buddy Justin is tearing it up riffing out. I've down sized my rig and I'm not sure if I like the combo. I might add a mesa recto cab to it to tighten up the bottom end.

I for one totally like your tone! One of the best 6505 tones I´ve heard on Youtube! What tuning is that? And you tell your buddy Justin he did an excellent job playing! What song is it? Cause it sounded way too coherent to be just jammin : )

@henkeH2 Drop C i think? maybe c standard. He's just riffing out. he's got a brain full of gnarly riffs he just throws together. One badd dude on the guitar. I got my amp sitting on top of a 2x12 recto cab now and sounds awesome! I love how easy this amp is to dial in and it seems the ts-808 was made for it lol.

@thedancenight yeah. I have a 5150 2x12 Combo (same exact amp) and it's bedroom practiceable (barely) at 0.5 on the post. At 2.5 or 3 it's enough to keep up with drums. At 3.5 or so its loud enough to play with a full band... needless to say, it's a loud amp =P

How big of a difference does the tube screamer make for the 6505? I just picked up a 5150 212 (same exact amp haha) and love it but want to add more punch, bite, and attack to it along with some more aggression and was wondering if the TS would add that for me. Also, what 6L6's are you running? Thanks man and keep it up... it sounds gnarly

Watch the bass and resonance controls. I noticed the resonance was pretty high in this...lowering that will help tighten up your tone.
