For those about to give up, there's a solution (pdf) on Eureka-puzzle's website.

i also get stuck at around 16, i think i messed up since the start... i get the equa piece in the right place but the other one is hanging on another part of the cage so it wont come out. I try to move that piece around but it wont twist round so that i can make it go up into the right part of the cage. any suggestions please im really stuck!

@primusfan87 this is where i am stuck as well, the equr piece dose not slide up like in this vid unless you move the other at the same time.the the blank will slot with the outer rim wile the other can slide left/up like in the vid if you do so. but then i get stuck at 25 where he rotates it. the bulbous bit / opening gets stuck on the rim and looking at the vid i cant even get it to angle the same way going / instead of \
thanks a lot for posting this. I've had the puzzle for almost a month and can't solve it.
I've followed you up to about 16 seconds and then I get stuck there. I can't move the piece without any writing on it UP and at the same time can't rotate the piece with EQUA written on it like you do.
I've jammed it pretty good a few times at this point.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, the trick is to make sure the gap in the jaw of the equa piece is "biting" the corner of the cage. By positioning the cage in the gap, the ring moves in another millimeter and allows the pieces to move.
