still trying to put a name/type to these seizures. These are so much different than the Infantile Spasms.

  • That must be a new type of seizure, my brother had petit mal and grand mal seizures growing up, he had surgery at NIH in Bethesda Maryland around 1996 and never had one again since then. Maybe this is something your son's neurologists can look into...

  • @robyn7465 thank you for taking the time to reply. This is not a new type of seizure. Jerry's neurologist has already talked with us about doing a corpus callosum surgery. We do not feel that this is the best option for him at this time.

I am happy that your brother's surgery was successful and that he is doing well. Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for!

  • ( I am sorry that seems kind of funny to me ), does he remember it ?, i think i have something like this but to me it feels like i am falling at like 200 mph !

  • @KaisyuVadin I find it very offensive that you think this is funny. I can't imagine why this would be amusing to you. This is terrifying to watch, especially to a child. Jerry is non-verbal, I don't know if he remembers them or how he feels afterward. Thankfully he does recover quickly.

Good luck to you. I think you should speak to your neurologist about your episodes.

  • @LeslieDMartin sorry about laughing but it sounds close to what i have, my normal doc said it is not drop attack but try telling that to me because they keep making me fall to the ground

  • @Pumanic: Oh..even my neuro was not able to diagnose it..and I havent got complete control over it yet..

  • @MsVash19

No, I've not been diagnosed with anything, so I have no right to medication. Also, I am not so bothered with my drop seizures and such to turn to medication. If I start to have problems with this, I will go to the doctor and demand a new diagnosis search, but for now I don't bother with it.

  • @LeslieDMartin yep..thanks for ur concern..:):)
