  • The look on the Doctor's face says it all...

  • Am I the only one who finds it really sweet that Novice Hame is still with him? Even after all that time!

  • @cero0espada

Well it's clear that he mutated, but The Face Of Boe also had children and the aerage lifespan of Boekind is 40 years, but een in his mutated form Jack was still...well obiously not immortal, but could ressurect himself multiple times. So if every other person of Boekind died, he's the only one left. So I'm assuming in short, Boekind are just a mutated form of Human's

  • @cero0espada I think he meant he was the last pure human.

  • I can accept Captain Jack being the Face of Boe. What I don't understand is that he claims to be the last of his species. How did he manage to change species? And if he did, did he become a species already in existence, or was he the first and last of his kind?

  • It makes so much sense now. The four final words were "I am Jack Harkness". He says "old friend" because they (the Doctor and Jack) were in fact, friends. And he says "You are not alone" mainly because Jack still lives in the Doctor's life, but also because there are more time lords to find.

  • @MsMoonfan4ever Well that's assuming that he will meet River but anyway enough of that, yh it would be a nice surprising twist if he was actually also referring to both but that remains to be seen

  • @LFC007Matt No offence, but I don't think you're thinking fourth dimensionally. By the Doctor's timeline, River Song hadn't been introduced yet, making the easy answer that it was just the Master that he was talking about. but in Jack/Boe's timeline, at this scene, he'd already met River, when the Doctor had not. It would make more sense if he was referring to both.

  • @MsMoonfan4ever I did say 'yet' you know - Of course Jack will meet River it's inevitable - I can see it happening in Series 7 or the anniversary definitely but the Face of Boe back in Series 3 was obviously referring to The Master

  • @LFC007Matt JACK hasn't met River, when he's still going by Jack. Billions of years is a long while, He might have met River when he was slowly becoming the face of Boe.
