1948 GMC 5 WINDOW PICKUP "SOLD" Drager's 206-533-9600

This is a beautiful frame off restored GMC PU that had the same owner for 30 years in Sun Valley, Idaho. I got a lot of receipts with the PU and it shows that Jim restored it between 1995 and 2000. Jim has a shop and he did most of the work himself. He installed a military rebuilt 270 GMC 6 cylinder engine. Has the 4 speed compound low transmission. The rear end gears have been changed to highway gearing. I like what he did when he restored the PU. He converted it to 12 volts. Installed a 2 speed electric wiper. Installed AM/FM Cassette player with 2 speakers. Installed a tach. Installed turn signals with 4 way flashers. Installed a very interesting sun visor, I have never seen one like it. Installed a new wood bed with chrome strips. Installed 2 outside mirrors that work very well. Has like new radial tires. Installed a very heavy duty trailer hitch. This PU was sold new in Burley Idaho. Since Idaho is a dry state, they don't use any salt, so I could not find any rust. The body and paint are great. As you would expect after 10 years, I did find chips and scratches in the paint. Chrome is beautiful. Interior is very nice and it's even carpeted. We charge a $50.00 doc fee for instate and $100.00 doc fee for out of state sales on top of the selling price. The State of Washington says we can charge up to $150.00 doc fee that is negotiable. The doc fees cover costs such as trip permits and FedEx costs.
