Homebuilt Boeing B737-NG simulator (FS9) based in Italy. A lot of work and effort are behind the realization of this simulator which is almost complete. Only some minor parts yet need to be adjusted and implemented, such as TOGA botton, motorized trim wheel, throttle and central pedestal.
Photos and clips from a training session with some fellow enthusiasts.

  • May I ask if you have any real time in this a/c, and, if you have none, after your time on your simulator, how confident would you feel in the real thing? Not stupid questions, as the whole point of a simulator is to train for the real thing or just for the buzz, as you are doing presently!

  • @regusux The guys behind this project do NOT have any real flying time on the 737NG but some of them do hold a real commercial pilot licence. Indeed flying on such a simulator will be a good preparation for transitioning from piston engine single/multi to a high performance jet aircraft if the flying is done with an instructor or an airline pilot who can go through procedure and systems. Actually the sim is available for hire at an italian flying school.

  • Brillant and very impressed with the set up, How much was the hardware

  • @11catacre Its ordinary hardware to run the sim and softwares, in this case FS2004...

  • I want one of this how much you spent on it

  • @liberguty Prices can vary a lot, on average expect to spend around 15.000 euro

  • I think it's the most completed 737 homemade cockpit I've ever seen. You guys made a brilliant job. But tell me, how much money and time did you spent on this? Nobody that have a sim like this answer my question.
