Jefferson Area Tea Party - Charlottesville, VA

On Wednesday, April 15th, 2009, a group of concerned citizens gathered at the Charlottesville Pavilion on the historic downtown mall. At the close of the gathering the crowd marched to Congressman Tom Perriello's office to further make their voice heard.

The Jefferson Area Tea Party is a grass roots organization who proclaim,
"We the people neither Republican nor Democrat believe in Limited Government,
Low Taxes, a Strong National Defense, Free Enterprise, and Personal Freedom."

I voted for Obama. What seems to be the problem? Let's see how thing turn out. I love snakes. Too much government spending is okay esp. if you get services. I suspect you guys are racist to some degree... Enjoy the market down turn, suckers. Nobody wants to arrest your childish asses. Childish because you delegate authority to Walmart and the military. Yeah, I don't see very many black people in this video. Was that intentional? Yes. Democrats are free thinkers

The Tea party crowd for the most part want the government to give them everything, as long as someone else pays. the same people who buy imports at Wal-Mart and then complain about losing their jobs.

Hopefully these events get way more radical. People are still very confused and are still being tricked into believing that only if their guy is elected, then things will be better.

By the way, chanting "don't tax me" and "support our troops" and "U.S.A" at the same time makes no sense. Either you support the federal government or you do not. You cannot have it both ways. It's liberty on the one hand or tyranny, war, welfare, and socialism on the other.

That said, this is a great first step!
