also, see what happened at 1:02 minutes into your film, you bottemed out. that would not have happened had you fitted a lift kit. try cruising through mud that is 2-3 foot deep with the car theway yours is. you would not make it because you have no mud tires and your diff and chasis would drag and get bogged. that road you have there is considered a sealed road in many places.

The RAV doesn't actually have a diff. It's an independant wishbone CV setup and it was the draw bar touching, not the chassis. I don't recall mentioning this was a 4WD video. That mud was in my way and I had the means to get through it instead of turning around and going home. As a photographer I mostly work in the city, but when I do venture out I don't want a bumpkin car that's been Frankensteined by a bush mechanic. I have a professional image to uphold, not a hick bogan vibe to share.

So rather than make yourself look uneducated by talking about diffs in RAV4's and telling me what I should and shouldn't do why don't you check the specs of the RAV4 before you make stupid comments. I don't appreciate your criticism. Notice that I haven't left any negative and unnecessary comments on your videos? Get over it you sad, sad person.

mags? you call that a 4w? you call that a truck? the rav4 is a city car, so keep it there. them puddles any 2wd could cruise thru. if you want to show how tuf your car is, get some sunraisres, mud ties, lift kit, roll-bar, flare your wheel arhes and go somewhere with some real mud!

To start with, all those mods would make my RAV a bogan car. Second, mud is mud, depth has no relevance to traction. Puddles are no less a challenge to anything larger. It depends on the bottom surface, not the depth. Lastly, from the mods you've suggested, your exceptionally bad grammar and English and from your blatant ignorance and rudeness it's obvious you're in no way sophisticated enough to be able to afford something other than a bogan car anyway. Keep on dreaming you bumpkin.

Personally I think it's a fantastic car!! I have had no problems with it at all, I own the 4 door tho, I don't think there would be any difference. Mine is great to take on the dunes also.

This video is COOL! At first I thought it was going to be some boring crap but then it woke me up the way I do to the neighbours with my ninja in the morning and BANG! - Very creative. And the car looks pretty tough. Too bad for the poor guy at the end washing it.

Great Vid... I have a 2005 Rav4 and i love it. Its not a serious 4WD but gee! i seem to overtake other serious 4WD's on the beach all the time, maybee because its so light.

I love my RAV4 and take it to some surprisingly rugged terrain in outback Australia. Those Rims though? I would never put them on my RAV. To each their own I guess.

I have a 2010 Rav4. I think the Rav4 is not for offroading. And I wouldn't dare to put those tire tires you have on the mud. I can tell you got a little scare going through that mud. Just by looking at your Rav4, it is just non-sense to go offroading with it. I don't want to get stuck in front of all my friends, or even worst alone!!

@josie keys Nice vid but just for the record the rav dose have diffs the cv's only allow the movement for the axles and there will be 2 cv's per wheel an inner that is by the diff and an outer by the wheel these are usually shrouded by a rubber boot. not sure on the 4wd activation but I would expect it would also have a center diff to split the power front to back but Toyota have made some changes to there system so i cant be sure. But like i said nice video and enjoy the mud.
