  • It depends on who is growing it, and none of them disclose what they use. When I was in Paraguay the fields of yerba mate I saw were pretty eat up. I was wanting to take some pictures but could not find a whole leaf until we got to the production facility where the yerba was grown for show.

I would think that at this time the use of chemicals is unnecessary due because the volume produced is more than enough. The cost of getting certified is pretty high as well.

  • You should really smile :) Also you should advertise the CBSE brand. The Grapefruit and Guarana brands by that company are fantastic!

  • @rkwiman Thanks Rick.

  • Oh, one thing I would like to ask about yerba mate in general, I do tend to buy organic teas and coffees whenever I can, as well, the yerba I got from you I chose the organic one. Is regular yerba (non organic) sprayed much? ... I think I read somewhere that pesticides aren't really very necessary for yerba mate.

  • Good job on the video! Makes me want to try it cold. I just ordered a couple kilos from you a few weeks back, arrived here in Nova Scotia in record time. I like it, it's good healthy "tea".
