i hate to act like a know it all, but you can do this with any ball. the high velocity of air creates a low pressure steam of air, which means that the surrounding air is a high pressure system that would trap any object. it's called Bernoulli's principle. the ball isn't "resting on a stream of air" at all.

you can do it with an air hose from a compressor. just hold it straight up then tilt it to the side slowly.

he should have used a ball with a design or a line on the ball so we could see the spinning better
