Teen Week was an all-around success. Everyone, including new and returning campers, had a great time, and many new ASCCA memories were created. The week's highlight was the prom, and we gave new meaning to the phrase "save the best for last."
Thanks to the ladies from Rocky Creek Baptist Church, we had outstanding decorations, refreshments, and a backdrop. The dining hall was a sparkling, black and white wonderland as well-decorated, if not better, than any high school prom. Mrs. Gaye made corsages and boutonneires for our glamorous campers, which added a special touch to the evening.
Geni Payne and Heather White took photos of each camper with their dates and friends. Everyone took home a framed photo and a copy of the slideshow as favors. Matt Rickman and Nathan McNair did an excellent job as dj's, playing fun classics like "Footloose" and "YMCA" as well as plenty of slow songs.
