  • @draxverdevil 1) Contact a recruiter 2)IF you qualify, you'll take the ASVAB 3) Do processing at MEPS where you will also pick your rate and sign your contract 4) Start attending DEP meetings to get prepared for bootcamp 5) Ship off to bootcamp 6) You go out to the fleet

  • did u do boot camp aready

  • @bxbabydiamond No. My videos are up to date.. I leave for bootcamp May 2nd.

  • AV is going to be an ATO or ATI, but they will tell you which one when you get to half way done with boot

  • @johnnyq425 but it can also go AE...not just AT

  • You are so cute. I'm also joining Navy, I have my meps appointment next week, hopefully going for HM or MA.

  • Open rate can get screwed. My bud was open, then they switched his rate on him about a year in. When time came to test for promotion, he knew dickall about his new rate, so naturally he failed the exam. Get something guaranteed

  • i go to bootcamp 20120724 for AV

  • Congrats :) I enlisted on 20111214 I'm going to basic as an E3 HM may 7th :) i'll be seeing you there.

  • MEPS is such a drag just sit there and wait -_-

  • @Maxid1 Don't lock your knees at attention or parade rest, bend them just slightly or you'll go down like you almost did. Going in without a rate should be avoided if at all possible. Getting placement after you're in, something you want, is very difficult after you're in the fleet. Know now that you will wish you worked out way harder than you did before you went active. Ramp up now. Thank you in advance for your service to your country, please don't embarrass US. Conduct yourself accordingly.

  • Sorry if you've already heard any of this. Remember that bootcamp (basic) is all about messing with your mind to see if you'll break under pressure. You will have to break a little to let them build you back up. Don't quit for any reason! Remember, EOMS(ears open mouth shut) They're going to yell at you, first thing to do is BREATH! People under stress stop breathing, when you stop breathing, you stop hearing and thinking. Listen very carefully to how they want you do say and do things.

  • wow 8 years 0_0 so glad to hear your in the navy! :D cant wait to hear more videos <3

  • you probably kept your knees

  • I've been in the Navy almost 6 years now and I just want to say you'll do well! Just be careful when you finally get to the fleet if you talk to a dude you're automatically "sleeping" with him, but if you're not talking to a dude then you're a "lesbian." So don't fall prey into the petty high school drama that is found all over the fleet. Also undesignated was the word you were looking for, its when you go in without a rate but you'll "strike" when you make it to the fleet after 18 months or so
