  • Just a few days ago our five year old found a photo and in it was she and Dr. Asa Hilliard.

    Our daughter, asked when are we going to see him again. We said as soon as we make connection, not knowing that he had recently passed away. Za, our daughter was filled with joy just seeing herself as a baby in this great man arms.

    A great friend...he will truly be missed.

  • R.I.P Dr. Hilliard

  • This is very remarkable.

    So many people act like urban kids are simply deficient. This is not so. You have to teach each student with a respect for who he or she is, with a belief that there is a special and unique talent and potential there. And you have to know that you'll never truly know what their lives are really like. The sooner you can be honest about that the better. But just because you don't know doesn't mean that you can't have empathy and let it show.

  • A giant among men...; a giant among the ancestors...; a powerful and compelling force for the catalytic development/betterment of African people throughout the Diaspora..., and consequently the world at large.

    ~~Much respect, admiration, appreciation, and gratitude!, for such an outstanding man. : }
