  • Unfortunately, Sean Hannity, the alternative media (aka "the truth") cannot afford to think in terms of commerce, or breaking even for their efforts. We are so desperate to get real news and good information out there, that we are giving it away for free-unlike you and your shamless co-workers at FAUX "News". You're a bunch of amoral, neo-conservative, pseudo- Christian corporatists who have warped and perverted the level of political discouse in this country almost to the point of no return.

  • Fox news has a big following in the UK but for all the wrong reasons (comedy value)

They really don't see how stupid they look.

  • I feel sorry for Sean. He's obviously incapable of critical thought, as evidenced by him gripping his head early in the video. He's also only kept around for his hot-headed inflammatory statements. He insults anyone who disagrees with him?

  • Poor Sean. If it were not for FOX he'd be a bartender somewhere worrying about paying his electric bill. And he knows it.

  • @slovakmath What advertising corporation? Who advertises on DemocracyNow? Who are they accountable to for revenue other than their viewership? How is this advertising model at all comparable to any MSM outlet? As for your anecdote: source, please.

  • Hannity is so so so dumb

  • @slovakmath You were specifically addressing their revenue stream....

  • @madProgenitorDeity the last point you made is not mutually exclusive

  • @slovakmath You didn't address my earlier point--DN receives most of its funding from private donors rather than advertisers. You called it "another conglomerate obtaining most of its money from corporations", going on to compare it to the NYT and WSJ which work under an advertising model . Finally, you've also shown no examples of any corporate bias DN may have. If Chomsky is ever critical of NPR, it's certainly regarding what they refuse to say rather than bias from their revenue stream.

  • @madProgenitorDeity if you want to learn how to get a proper well-rounded source of information , why dont you follow Chomsky's own example? He would never be so foolish to consider DM or NPR as a proper "single source" news station. he even is highly critical of it on many occasions in his books, and everything I said has been also said by him, but he goes further, and he criticizes it almost as often as he does the NYT and WSJ.

  • @slovakmath Very often I see Amy Goodman peddling chomsky DVDs and asking for donations. Have you watched much democracy now? Advertisements are very spare on it.

  • @madProgenitorDeity I realize its a good source for certain information at least in USA compared to the others, the reason i wrote to you was to make sure you learn its not perfect.

"want real news ? go to democracy now!" There is no such thing a a SINGLE news source that a person can rely on. Its a heavily regulated business. If advertisers dont like what the show is doing then their money stops. This obviously influences their output of information, once this happens they are biased
