I agree the tempo is a bit fast but if they intended to play it in allegro tempo than that is most likely why they played it that way..I'm sure the musical director is well aware of the original tempo..I sang in the Phila Archdioscean Boys Choir in the 80s and we sometimes sang hymns that were arranged this way to mix things up

What a beautiful hymn... but y in such a hurry.. it loses its meaning... there are other praise songs to sing fast... any way good arrangement and voices
