My sheltie is petrified of the water. I put him in once but he doesn't swim properly. His butt always sinks and he only uses his front paws. How did you teach yours?

@thewapow uhm it I've never had that problem with my dogs. Even if it does, it'll usually come out when they shake.

@halosnatcher o rly? good cuz my dog has an ear infection and my mom says its because water got in his ear. I was the last one to give him a bath and I thought it was my fault he got the infection.

@thewapow hmm you could try preventing water from getting into his ear by putting a small ball of cotton init before any water activities, thats what some of my friends do when they bring their dogs for swimming.
