Quatermass asks the Planet People if they know the whereabouts of his missing granddaughter, but they refuse to say anything. Quatermass tries to win their trust by asking them what they believe. They say they will be taken to The Planet - a mystical utopia on the other side of the universe. Joe dismisses them as mad. Guided by a plumb bob, the Planet People then continue following what they believe is a ley line that will lead them to a rendezvous point, from where they will be taken to The Planet. Later, Joe introduces Quatermass to his radio observatory and the astronomers who work there. One of the astronomers tells Joe about a strange anomaly their dishes detected at the same time the space station was destroyed. A short while later, Joe introduces Quatermass to his wife and children

a good serial, but an important social commentary on the 1970's mind set - Hippies are evil and not to be trusted.............
