hey paxtonian12 i pitch to and i go to pitching lesssons, and they tell me when i get mad that a pitcher never shows her emotions, plus i think you have good motion just bring the arm before the hip and one more thing when you pitch you explode dont hold it in really jump and drag your foot and it wont be a iilegal pitch because my pitch is similar and i just have to drag my foot and remember pull back with the foot ! goodluck maybe we will be in the pro league one day !*(:*!!!!!!!

her hip is faster than her arm... just shorten the jump out
-
bring ur hip in right be 4 ur arm
-
she needs to drag anyways. they will be strict about it when she gets to the upper levels. try doing the towel drill. that will help her a ton!

I coach the baseball and softball. She did leap, but its not illegal. But however, she lost control of the pitch and the velocity because of the leap, she loses momentum on the delivery.
Illegal is when the pitcher steps out too wide and the umpire will call an illegal pitch and a balk. Pitcher love to make wide steps because it can either increases velocity, or curves, which makes softball pitchers very dominant.

pause at 1:00 you can see her leaping
-
it is the pitchers responsibility to maintain the area of the rubber while in game. That's why you see pitchers filling in the hole between pitches. Any ASA ump worth their salt would give her a warning the call an illegal pitch.

youre foot isnt staying on the ground through the whole motion.. youre leaping. thats an illegal pitch
Its actually not an illegal pitch. It does look like shes leaping, but in the ASA rule book it says that if theres a hole a pitchers drag foot can break contact with the ground, but not go above the plane of where the ground would be.

Not illegal due to the hole but many pitchers get so much heat from umpires and opposing coaches who dnt know any better. It's really much easier to do the "leap and drag" on a proper pitching surface
