On October 5, 2010, Professor Solita Monsod delivered her last lecture for the semester to our Econ 100.1 class. This is no doubt one of the most moving [and entertaining] pieces of public lecture I've heard from a professor, and is definitely something that every UP student must hear and watch.

  • I really wish she were my prof... Gosh, I'm now more inspired than ever to help my countrymen and love the poor. Tayo nga naman ang solusyon pero sumusunod lang tayo sa mga yapak ng mga makasariling tao na sarili lang ang inisip. I want to be like her, influencing people to follow the right track and changing the country one bright mind at a time...

  • MADE ME CRY.

  • i f i can have a prof like this, i will listen for sure and attend class everytime..

  • @Anubayan7 I like what you are saying here. In short, what you mean is we should get acquainted with the science of "Personal Finance" which teaches you or me all that is needed to know on how to manage our affairs and personal finance business so that after you retire - may pera ka at hindi ka umaasa sa tulong at awa ng ibang tao. Kudos on your comment guy!

  • @fantasticxman Guys, don't get too serious here. She was using humor to get her point across. If you listen carefully and truly understand what she says, that is the tool she is using to capture your interest and to try not to be boring. Laugh and lighten up a little bit, ok.

  • @ignatiusofantioch2 I agree with you too amigo. In short, it does not matter where you are based. The important thing is you are a net positive contributor to the betterment of the Philippines.
