Here´s a short collection of clips I managed to save of this epic TV documentary of the Loud family of Santa Barbara, California. It is not available commercially in any format, but you may be able to find a privat person selling a -R copy on the web. Filmed in 1971 - broadcast in 1973.

  • @jloveusa I mean it's been made in to a TV movie for HBO directed by James Gandofini ( The Soprano's) Cinema Verite But I just read that u watched the movie also and it must have been playing threw the weekend b/c I wrote my first comment a day ago as I was watching it. I'm an eighties baby so it's all new to me.

  • @Mobee211: the movie says Lance became very succesful as an editor of a magazine, and the lead singer of the Mumps band, but he passed away in 2001, he gave the ok to have his last days filmed as well, but that didn't happen for one reason or another?

  • I remember when I was a kid back then taking ALL the aerisol cans from the house and tossing them one at a time in a huge bon fire near our neighborhood, (yes they had aerisol cans still and yes you could even have a bon fire in our area) also, as a kid I could hop our back fence to the orchard every day after school with my rifle and go target practicing and bird hunting. today they would probably lock a kid up in juvi just for being a kid? yes, it was so, so much fun being a kid at that time!
