Fuzzbean Open Bolt Target Pistol

The chamber is cut a bit short, so you can press the round in there and it will stay put in normal handling. I don't know why the one cartridge appears to have a dent or shiny spot on the base -- only noticed it on the video. Part of the headstamp, I guess.

This concept will work nice for an improvised shot gun. I think it will be nice if made with the size of a sawn-off but with a choke, so the shot dont spread too much. Thank you for the video. You are one of those rare persons that do it without caring if its illegal or not, because you know your rights! Nice! :-)

@AdlerMow It isn't so much that I don't care what the law is... it's more that I have confidence in my own interpretation of what the law says. Certain folks I know, who on one hand seem like walking talking legal dictionaries, were far too ready to give up their rights beyond what any existing law requires, just to play it safe. I did not like that attitude. We need to assert ourselves and play a role in defining what our rights are.

Is the firing pin in this open bolt pistol stationary? And If it is does that mess with the shell ejector?

@10mthomas It is a fixed firing pin. It causes no problems with ejection.

@EricsTechTalk Yes, I made 2 of them over 3 years ago. I have not experienced any trouble owning them, and never asked anybody for a "letter" or other permission to do so, either. Congress has never passed any law against open-bolt firearms as such. Remember, our government is one of enumerated powers, not enumerated rights.

your a dumbass! I followed this build thread and fuzzybeanerizer is very tallanted! As a matter of fact he inspired me to make my open-bolt, single-shot, blow-back pistol. I soupose mine is fake too. Research before you call people out loser. Also watch the other rounds they don't have that unexplained dent looking thing in the round, it was likly a glare or somthing, dumbass.

@Fuzzybeanerizer You americans are lucky. Here in Brazil the gun ownership for civilians is almost banned! One crappy .38 special revolver cost as much as a good motorbike, wold say $1500 or so! And we cant own anything better than .380 acp. One shotgun can cost up to $8000! Carry is forbidden, but ony to the poor civilian, as the very rich and the authorities "need" (can pay to cut the red tape) them for self-defence. For a carry to be allowed you need to justify why you need it! Bastards!

@EricsTechTalk Actually, open bolt is a legal BATF definition, not a mechanical one, as I (as can he)

load a mag while the bolt is "closed". The round compresses the mag spring, and when the bolt is cocked, the mag still is in position to strip the round by the bolt. For these types weapons, having the mag not fully inserted is the safety. My opinions are not those of the poster.
