Highway of Heroes Canada

Friday, September 07, 2007 marks the day that a section of Highway 401 was dedicated to our fallen soldiers. Many young Canadian soldiers who have given their lives in the war in Afghanistan have travelled this road.

I support our troops and this show titled Highway of Heroes is dedicated to them.

We are in Afghanistan because out biggest ally was attacked, and the Taliban choose to house the people that orchestrated said attack. This is a NATO mission, mandated by the UN in response to said attack. Do you really think China or Russia wouldn't have vetoed the kind of war you represented in your comments? This is NOT Iraq, the taliban recieved much warning that Al Queda needed to be surrendered. They choose this war, we choose to stand by our ally.

@jethrodassam We honestly don't need the Americans for help in a war. Why? Because we don't need to go to war for oil. We have tons of oil right here in our own country. But thanks anyway. Canada, the useless country who cannot defend itself. That's why the Americans constantly call for our assistance... Gulf, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc, etc... Your 'people' might think of us as useless but your military and government do not underestimate our ability's in combat.

I am the writer of the poem in this video. I was asked by a gentleman, if he had my permission to put a video along with the poem, to add it to the list of writes for our Canadian Heroes. @iwonttell19888 Thank you for clarifing so many people dont get that average civillians dont know the whole story whats happening in Afganistan, Pakistan actually wants afganistan to remain unstable, for many reasons, i wont get into here, but the ppoint is our troops are there to help protect a nation and its people from the taliban and others who use them and kill their people.
