The following is the tesimony of Brigham Young, 2nd Mormon prophet and president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

"The Latter-day Saints believe in Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of the Father, who came in the meridian of time, performed his work, suffered the penalty and paid the debt of man's original sin by offering up himself, was resurrected up from the dead, and ascended to His Father. And as Jesus descended below all things, so He will ascend above all things.

I testify that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I have obeyed his sayings, realized his promise and the knowledge that I have of him, the wisdom of this world cannot give, neither can it take away."

I think sometimes forget how amazing a feat that truly was!

I never really understood how great a feat that was until I had a Chinese Scholar who found out I was Mormon. He wanted to shake my hand. He said in China they study Utah and Mormons as the greatest example of hard work in world history. Despised by their own country they took the worst of circumstances and turned it into success.

BTW, he didn't know Mormons were a religious group!
