Just added to the Blender SVN trunk today, the Blender cloth modifier. So, I compiled it and tested it out. With very little tweaking, I managed to dress an odd-ball in red satin. HAHAHAHA.

  • ye that's right but with softbody tests i usually dont reopen them... and it can cost quite a lot of disk space...

  • Preferrably press "bake" to keep the simulation frames saved for hte next time you open the file.

  • Ok here you go this is a "tutorial": open up a new file with a basic cube. press numpad 1 to go to front screen. add a plane above the cube.(spacebar, add, mesh, plane) go into edit mode of the plane press f9, and press subdivide a few times (the more the slower) press the s key to make it bigger press f7 and click "physics buttons" click "cloth" go to the collission tab right to "fields" and enable collission do this for both objects press alt+a that's it.
